50SOC: Introducing Island City

This is from Aether Enterprises…

“Island City is to release their debut self-titled EP on 29th April 2016 under Aether Records, with a South Coast Tour in May-June 2016.

The EP is an introduction to the band and the message they stand for; Find your passion & share it with the world.

Supporting aspiring musicians is a big part of the Island City ethos, which is why the debut EP will host some great session musicians from the boys local areas, creating a community of performers.

This concept of community is important to the band, without music the world would be a very dull place, Island City dedicate portions of their time to causes that help aspiring musicians & the community.

Drawing on influences from Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Amy Winehouse & Doves – Island City composes hard-hitting, emotive hooks delivered with powerful, soulful vocals that will make you forget you are listening to a working class London boy.

Each track on the debut EP will speak to you directly, as the lyrics tells the age old story of love & self-development with a modern perspective.

Combining dirty Hip-hop inspired drum patterns, with progressive piano accompaniment, held together with grooving bass & sealed with funky guitar riffs, Island City sets itself apart from all others.”
