We’ve been following the fortunes of Bury St Edmunds’ HORSE PARTY over the last couple of years and we didn’t turn down an opportunity to catch them live in Ipswich – at a free gig no less!
I had a chat with Seymour, Shannon, Ellie and Catherine in the beer garden of the Steamboat Tavern – which looked a bit warmer than it actually was. They talked about new album Horizons and their plans for the rest of the year. Seymour and Shannon also talked about their recent work with ex-Long Blondes singer Kate Jackson.
Catherine has recently joined as an additional guitarist and you could say the band now has a stable line up. We won’t be waiting furlong until we see them again live …
The band’s new album Horizons is out on Friday 1st April via R*E*P*E*A*T Records. You can hear it and pre-order here.
They’re also playing live at the Tooting Tram and Social on March 18, The Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds on March 19 and the Portland Arms in Cambridge on April 8.
