Fitness In Mind™ is an award winning initiative designed to promote, encourage and provide physical activity as an aid to mental wellbeing.
Sport and physical activity are proven to boost self-esteem, reduce stress, and help prevent or reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, but getting active when you’re not feeling great isn’t easy. Low motivation, social anxiety, self-image issues, uncertainty regarding exercise, and financial expense, can all hinder us from using this vital and hugely enjoyable life tool.
Joining me on Drive today were Roger Davinson, Mike Diaper, Nikki Smith and Wayne Banks
Roger Davinson is the CEO of Brentwood Leisure Trust and Inclusive Champion Officer at the Brentwood Centre
Mike Diaper is the Director of Community Sport for Sport England
Nikki Smith is from Fitness in Mind
Wayne Banks is a mental health Champion, campaigner and mastermind of the Fitness in Mind project.
