Remembering Lemmy and Jeff and Beatles back in the Charts?

Tributes have been pouring in for Motorhead frontman Lemmy who has died aged 70, two days after learning he had cancer.

His local bar ran out of his favourite tipple Jack Daniels as fans queued around the block to get in to pay tribute. I resisted the temptation to get the JD out myself but we did celebrate his life with an ace of spades today

It’s Jeff Lynne’s 67th birthday today – What better excuse to listen to a couple of ELO tracks today.

And with Beatles songs being streamed an astonishing 50 million times in the first 48 hours after they became available to listen to live on the internet for the first time, I wondered if we might see some of their songs enter the UK top 40 this week now that streaming is included in compiling the chart.

The most popular Beatles song so far is Come Together, which has already been streamed more than 1.8 million times.

We’ll find out on New Years Day.beatles-come-together
