They Might Be Giants: John Flansburgh (L) with John Linnell

Such a lot of words, oh dear! Despite possibly being busier than any band on the planet right now, John Flansburgh from indie-rock duo THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS took time out to have a long chat with us!

The band have been ridiculously prolific since that time, with 17 studio albums already out and two more planned over the next three months or so – Why?, a follow up to their first children’s album No! and a second “adult” album from the Dial-A-Song Direct releases, possibly to be called Phone Power and to be released in the New Year.

“mestastasizing replaces corgi” – possibly a future song lyric?

John spoke about many different things, including the history of the band, why the band are currently releasing a new song every week and who he thinks should be writing Britain’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest! He also spoke about plans after the current glut of Dial-A-Song singles and albums comes to an end.
