After getting through the live auditions, boot camp and now facing the 6 chair challenge, X Factor girl band, Mon Amie visited Phoenix FM for an exclusive interview.
Izzy and Monifa sat in the studio while Honey joined in on the phone. Unfortunately Abi couldn’t make it due to touring with Italia Conti, the stage school where the girls all first met and formed as Mon Amie.
With Rita saying she ‘really loves the girl band’ and Simon being ‘really impressed’, they have been a hit for the judges and have even changed Cheryl’s original opinion after only getting 3 yes’ and not the full house for their audition.
During the interview they tell us about their journey so far, from putting the band together only a few months ago, doing their first ever live performance together in front of thousands of people, to where they are currently gigging. I also played their covers of Usher’s With or Without you and Rihanna’s Diamonds, both of which can be heard integrated within the interview below.
