Polling stationOn today’s show we took a peep at one or two of the policies on offer from some of the lesser known parties standing in next week’s general election. How about plans to vacuum motorways twice daily to prevent stone chips from hitting your car or appointing “clown” doctors in hospitals on the grounds that laughter is the best medicine? These are amongst the list of policies offered by The Eccentric Party of Great Britain, who’s sole candidate, Lord Toby Jug is facing stiff competition from Howling Laud Hope of the Monster Raving Loony Party. That party’s website details an array of policies such as reducing the national debt by selling the castles back to the French (buyer dismantles) and for taxpayers to receive Nectar points from the HMRC. Sadly as both candidates are standing in Uxbridge & South Ruislip, Brentwood and Billericay residents won’t have an opportunity to express their opinions on these remarkable and unconventional ideas.

We also heard how a one time rock show presenter on a South Coast local radio station, became so moved by witnessing his father in law being destroyed by the ravages of dementia, that he got together with Plymouth University and the Alzheimer’s society to produce a song which he has recorded together with the Ten Tours Orchestra and the Brain Chorus. The song is called NEVER FORGET and I gave it an airing on today’s show. All proceeds from that song will be going towards supporting the work of the Alzheimer’s society as well as generating funds to support people living with dementia.

And you can help by buying that song which is available now from Amazon, cdbaby, google play and I-tunes.

In the second hour of the show I was joined by Margaret Mills who provided details of some ghostly goings on at Chelmsford Prison and Coalhouse Fort. If youCoalhouse Fort ghost missed it, or would just like to hear what Margaret said again, just click on the link below: –

See you again next week,
