Sound Wave No 10 – I’m Baaack

Hello there listeners,

So this week I’m back, and I’m back with a Christmas BANG… or Jingle. And I’m not going anywhere, not any time soon anyway.

The world of entertainment has bought us many exciting announcements in the past week. Firstly J.K. Rowling has announced a series of short magical stories which will each be released for the 12 Days of Christmas, and they will all relate to the one, the only, Mr Harry Potter. Find out where to get these stories here, https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/books/news/jk-rowling-to-publish-new-harry-potter-material-on-pottermorecom-for-christmas-9909029.html

Secondly a new Bond film was announced by Sam Mendes. Filming is due to start Monday and will bring back an old face, in the form of the Special Executive for Counter-Intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Exhibition, or Spectre as it’s known. From Ian Flemming’s original novel series, and the 1st ever Bond Film from 1962, Dr No, Spectre is rumoured to bring back one of Bond’s old nemesis, Ernst Stavro Blofeld. And in good news a young French man had his day, week and year made after receiving over 42,000 birthday cards this week. Manuel, who has Down-Syndrome, received card, gifts and packages from across the globe after his father, Lucien Parisseaux, sent out a simple request to his 25 Facebook friends. Overnight the “chain message” as Parisseaux described it, far surpassed his expectations and now the family have had to store the overwhelming number of responses in their neighbour’s garage.
