Tonight I was joined in the studio by Arfur Doo & The Toerags (l-r Tim, Simon, Fran, Judy), quite possibly the first band we’ve ever had in who list Irish folk music as their main specialism. They also boast a highly impressive range of instrumentation, with recorders, flutes and violins in their repertoire! We heard a selection of tracks in the studio, based around traditional Irish folk songs with a few extra touches – have a listen and see what you can recognise! The Toerags plan to spend the rest of this year recording their debut album before returning to the live scene with a set at … on January 13th.
