We welcomed Thomas James to the station for the first time today – although he’s no stranger to Phoenix FM, as he was part of two bands who recorded Creative Sessions for us, Crosstown Traffic in 2005 (when Thomas was only 16!) and Kenai, a couple of years later.

Thomas is now very much ploughing a different musical furrough, with various members of those bands backing him. Musically he’s a lot mellower now, and we were treated to three songs this evening, with band member Sarah Holburn on backing vocals. You can see the session tracks again below:

We’ve got lots more of both of them in store – Thomas is playing our Phoenix Fridays gig on 31 October at Old Brentwoods, and Sarah will also be coming in for a session on BOA on 2 October.
