This week’s album of the week is from Beijing’s CARSICK CARS and is probably their 3rd album as it’s titled 3.

carsick cars - 3

A nice indie/slightly shoegazey vibe going through their music, well worth checking out. The album actually came out about two months ago but I had overlooked it a bit. I did consider Damon Albarn’s new album Everyday Robots as the AOTW (I’m a big Blur fan) – but it really is a pile of cack.

Also looked back at a wonderful gig at the Borderline last weekend with the Darling Buds (never thought I’d see them again – it’s been 22 years!) and Erica Nockalls’ current band, EN.

Tonight’s playlist:

Elbow – Fly Boy Blue/Lunette
Carsick Cars – 15 Minutes Older
Data Panik – Cubis (I Love You)
Franz Ferdinand – Erdbeer Mund
Darling Buds – Burst
Darling Buds – Fall
Erica Nockalls – Cut Them Out
James – Moving On
Carsick Cars – Reaching The Light
Pulp – Help The Aged
Band Of Holy Joy – I Have Travelled The Buses Late At Night
Kula Shaker – Grateful When You’re Dead
Bleech – Not Like You
Carsick Cars – The Best VPN So Far
Heart Throbs – She’s In A Trance
Earl Brutus – Navyhead
Lykke Li – I Follow Rivers (The Magician Remix)
Cable – Hexagon Eye
Wind-Up Birds – Addis Ababa
Kaiser Chiefs – Ruffians On Parade
School – SoLong
Rage Against The Machine – Renegades Of Funk
Tom Vek – Sherman (Animals In The Jungle)
Supergrass – Lenny
Strand Of Oaks – Goshen ’97
