Being Tuesday I was delighted to welcome back CARL MERRY with another ESSEX TALE. Today’s tale concerned a poacher of old by the name of Samuel Peacock who seems to have had a bit of a run in with a local wise woman. Listen again to today’s offering from Carl by clicking on the link below: –Â Essex Tales 11th March
In the first hour of the show we turned our attention to poachers of a different kind – politicians.
It seems that a man is standing in the forthcoming Indian general election on a pro-corruption ticket – and no he is not a banker, he’s a lawyer. If elected he might not have to worry too much since it seems that the Indian police have been unable to investigate hundreds of complaints about corruption because no one could remember the password to get access to the data stored on their computer!
Meanwhile over in North Korea, a near 100% turnout of voters was reported in their general election. And in a shock result all 687 unopposed candidates, received 100% support, which must make North Korea’s government the most popular administration in the world.
I think I need a drink!
See you next week,
Scott
