So on Wednesday night this week I sat down to watch Brentwood Councils webcast of their Ordinary Council. I follow local politics closely, I mean why wouldn’t you, it affects the town and area we live in. Now we are all used to what goes on in Government, its on the news, in the papers, on social feeds daily. But not everyone knows how it is and what it’s like on a local scale.

Now without going into a whole speech (rant) about what I think, probably offending a few people along the way too, I thought this week I would hold the first ever (and probably last) ‘Ordinary Council Awards’ – it was all done in good fun, but the message about the state of our local council currently is there.

I have had great reaction this week to this, from listerners, even some local Councillors who were at that very meeting.
