The countdown is on until Saint Francis Hospice celebrates its 30th anniversary next year and to commemorate the occasion the charity’s 2014 calendar is illustrated with a fascinating collection of photographs from its archives.

The calendar features 12 pictures highlighting milestones in Saint Francis Hospice’s history from the humble beginnings when the contract to take over Havering Hall was signed in 1982 to the opening of the Pepperell Education Centre in 2008 and present day.

Each calendar costs £3.49 and Saint Francis Hospice shops also stock a variety of packs of 10 Christmas cards from £2.99 as well as gifts and when out doing your festive shopping please think of Saint Francis Hospice shops as they sell quality new and donated items.

Steve Rose, shops General Manager, said: “2014 is a special year for Saint Francis Hospice as it marks 30 years of caring so we thought it would be a fitting start to the celebrations to have our charity calendar looking back through our history and achievements.”

He added: “The calendar and cards look great and I hope people pick them up and think of Saint Francis Hospice when doing their Christmas shopping. Proceeds from the sales go to Saint Francis Hospice’s vital work looking after local people with an end of life illness and their families and carers.”
