Another Saturday and it’s still fine and dry but we needed a liquid lunch today as Frances Clamp returned to take me on another pub crawl in Billericay. Well we only managed two pubs actually, The Red Lion and The Chequers, but it was lunchtime after all. We also looked at a couple of odd ball stories including the one about unusual events that were being held in a Cambridgeshire village hall and why an Australian mother auctioned the birthday present – tickets for a One Direction Concert – she had planned to give her daughter.
