A really big show today – and I mean BIG as I was joined by THE FUNKY VOICES – around 40 of them crammed into the studio. Now these guys are something else. You’ve probably seen and heard them performing at STRAWBERRY FAIR or at the Christmas Lights “switch on” but wherever they perform they always pull a big crowd. The Funky Voices were founded in 2007 since when they have established around 10 groups across Essex and the Essex and Suffolk borders with a total of around 800 members.
You can listen again to our chat and their songs right here: – Funky Voices 31st August
Later in the show, Frances Clamp provided an insight into some of the things King Henry VIII got up to in Blackmore. Had Frances been so forthcoming in Henry’s time she might well have lost her head, as it was she partly lost her voice so the question remains – “was she attacked from beyond the grave?” Perhaps I should ask the Essex Ghost Hunters what they think, the next time they are on the show. You can listen again to what Frances said here (with most of her strangled cries edited out) : – Bygones 27th August
I’m not here next week so Bob Simpson is kindly stepping up to the plate along with Diane Evans of Brentwood Freecycle. Please be kind to him. See you in a fortnight.
All the best,
Scott
