Adding A Bit Of Drive To The Summer Holidays

Well, it’s all been go in Phoenix Towers these past few weeks, as summer time really does seem to kick in between 3 and 6pm during the week!

All manner of news stories seem to have broken during those hours, and sadly few of them uplifting, but always dramatic.  Political intrigue, criminal verdicts, Elton John’s new haircut, it’s all come out in the wash!

Talking of Elton, the showbiz gossip has carried on regardless, with an endless stream of irrelevance about so-called celebrities, that somehow stick in your mind and become the topic of conversation at work.  I bet you all know, despite yourselves, exactly what the reformed original Sugarbabes are now called.  I know what I’ve called them too.

And, well, the live sport on Drive has been coming through thick and fast.  After the drama of Wimbledon, and Andy Murray’s unlikely comeback one gloriously sunny afternoon (after, of course, I’d written him off at two sets down!), the intensity goes up another level as the Ashes rolls into town.

Wacky-Races-1

With all this, plus your local events guide, music up and down the decades right up to the present day headliners, it’s amazing that the travel bulletins are somehow fitted in.  But they are, two every hour, plus updates in between if something is going on on our roads or our trains.  After all, Drive is all about people on the move.

With all this packed into just three whirlwind hours, how could you dare miss it?  See you during the week, then, from 3.  It’s bound to be spiffing, you know.
