The show tonight had a more acoustic rock vibe, with mainly acoustic songs being played throughout the night, with the odd ‘big’ rock song.
My track from the past came courtesy of the 1970’s and the song ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’ by The Ramones.
My track of the week was the brand new single from Sheffield rockers Arctic Monkeys, ‘Do I wanna know’. A great track from the band as they prepare to headline Glastonbury next week!
I also had a featured artist this week, Gin Wigmore. The Kiwi grabbed my attention after I was shown her music by a friend of mine, and have struggled to turn it off since. The blues guitar mixed with folky vocals gives her a unique genre. I played 2 of her songs tonight, and I’m sure she’ll be featuring more in the upcoming weeks.
