A “spirit” filled PACKED LUNCH

Well I knew it was going to be a spooky show today. It couldn’t be otherwise with guests like THE ESSEX GHOST HUNTERS. But even I was unprepared for the unaccountable “spooky” sound which suddenly surfaced during our conversation. I would like to say it was down to traffic outside the studio, although I have never previously been aware of such sounds being audible in the studio. See what you think, the extraneous sound appears about half way through – all very strange!

Now the ghost hunters are going to be regular contributors to the show and will be with me again on the 1st June when we’ll be looking back at the results of their visit to THE REDOUBT FORT in HARWICH which is happening next week but this being the first of our paranormal features, we started out by establishing how the guys got together and what drove them to search out ghosts. I also wanted to try to find out exactly what the definition of a ghost might be, and the difference between a ghost and a poltergeist.

If you would like to join the Ghost Hunters on one of their expeditions take a look at their website – https://www.essexghosthunters.co.uk/. Prices depend on the location involved but are normally in the range of £10 to £35. The next two outings to The Redoubt Fort in Harwich and Cash’s Well in Langdon Hills, are fully booked but spaces are available on the following two locations – Fort Halstead on 19th July and Kelvedon Bunker on 10th August – and if you’re quick you can take advantage of a special knocked down price of £30 for these two. But the price reverts to normal tomorrow.

Listen again to our conversation – including the “spooky” sound right here: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Ghost-Hunters1.mp3|titles=Ghost Hunters]

In the second hour Frances Clamp dropped by to talk to Bob Simpson about the connections between Brentwood and the town’s namesakes in the USA. Listen again here to what Frances had to say on this subject: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Frances-Clamp.mp3|titles=Frances Clamp]

Well that’s it for me. Enjoy the rest of your Bank Holiday weekend. I’ll see you again next week – minus the ghosts.

All the best,

Scott
