Yes it’s me back again with Tuesday’s ONE-2-THREE show so as well as Frances Clamp popping in with our BRENTWOOD & BILLERICAY BYGONES feature, I also took a look at one of the odder stories around right now.
How about this one from North Korea which has been in the news quite a bit recently. Indeed so much so that I took a peep at the news website belonging to the government of that country. It seems that apart from threatening Armageddon they have also been celebrating the birthday of their head of state, who still holds that office in spite of being dead for the past 20 years. It seems that in this beacon of freedom, if you won’t dance or smile on cue, you could be shot so given such an ultimatum it is less surprising to see the streets of their capital city filled with dancing youngsters. It seems that these youngsters were strutting their stuff to such belters as “Glory to our Great Party”, “Our Satellite is on it’s Orbit” or how about my favourite, “Push Back Frontiers of the Latest Science and Technology”. An absolute “stonker” guaranteed to take the charts by storm – well In North Korea at any rate!
