The first half of the show was a bit of a Latitude special – I did interview Melvin Benn again this week when I attended the Latitude Launch Party at the BBC studios in Maida Vale. In the second half I managed to get three tracks from this week’s Album Of The Week, the self-titled debut from Paris’s Melody Prochet, otherwise known as Melody’s Echo Chamber. Heavy with the stamp of Tame Impala’s Kevin Palmer, it’s a great slice of krautrock, electronica, space-rock and psychedelia. How I missed it when it came out last October, I’ll never know …
