ROB HARVEY’S SATURDAY BREAKFAST SHOW.
Love new singles, and we had a few juicy-ones this week- Alison Moyet is back with a free download and those Liverpool scallies SPACE, all have new material. You heard me also recanting the fact I’ve finally applied for a renewed passport, which meant a new mug shot….suffice to say I wasn’t at my best for the photo-booth, so lo and behold I’ve come out to a likeness which apparently goes from a likeness to Adolf Hitler, to ‘Rainman’ (Dustin Hoffman) to Joey Essex- that will learn me to share.
and no, I’m not posting it here…..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1VRZWNOlis&feature=player_embedded

My music pick for this week;
Wed 06 Mar Fatboy Slim – Westminster Hall House of Commons
Populist English DJ who dominated the chart in the late nineties with a series of superlative radio hits, which famously include the ‘Right Here, Right Now’, ‘Praise You’ and ‘You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby’.

Thu 07 /Fri 8 / Sat 9 Mar Sigur Ros – O2 Academy Brixton, London
Critically acclaimed Icelandic group from Reykjavik with a lush musical aesthetic. They are considered by many musical lovers to be the most beautiful band on the planet. Jon Por Birgisson’s spine tingling voice is like a heavenly instrument passed down by God to send fans of Sigur Ros into a blissful séance.

Thu 07 Mar The Darkness – Hammersmith Apollo, London
Return of the exuberant hard rock band from Lowestoft, Suffolk.

My Comedy show picks for this week……
Jon Richardson, Charlie Baker and Shappi Khorsandi 4th March 2013 • Comedy Store
Join Jon Richardson, Shappi Khorsandi, Josh Widdicombe, Charlie Baker, Suzi Ruffell, Marlon Davis and special guests at the Comedy Store… in a night of comedy in aid of The MS Society.

David Baddiel: Work in Progress – 18th – 23rd March 2013 • Soho Theatre
David Baddiel is coming to the Soho Theatre for a series of “work in progress” shows, testing out some brand-new material for an upcoming show — his first proper stand-up show for 15 years.

Join me on March 9th, when we will be catching up with the band TENEK, ahead of their support for Republica.
