It was great to get Matt and Bryan from Plantman down for a session on this week’s show.

The band formed out of another Essex band, Beatglider, who had been doing the rounds for a little while and I first caught them live just over two years ago when they played at the Railway Tavern in Southend alongside Ten Tigers, Tumbledryer Babies and the Lovely Eggs. Plantman’s new album, Whispering Trees, was released a couple of weeks ago to massively huge reviews in the Sun, Sunday Times, Sunday Express, Mojo and Uncut … proving you can self-release stuff and get it to an audience of millions quicker than you think!

We had the benefit of three songs live, and if you missed them you can hear them again below:

Keep an eye out for live gigs later this Spring and other news on their Facebook, Twitter or Myspace (yes, people still go there!)
