Brand off the Booze!
Around Christmas and New Year everyone always think about resolutions and celebrate good things we have done during the year, and one celeb who is celebrating is comedian Russell Brand, as he has been sober for a decade! He tweeted to his fans to show his gratitude of their support saying : “Ten years clean… Thanks for all your messages of love… Anyone can get clean, one day at a time.”
And other person who has been showing her support is Ex wife Katy Perry. A source explains that She sent him an e-mail “to let him know that she was thinking of him and that she was still proud of what he has achieved. “She also wanted to drop him the email to wish him a happy 2013 and to let him know that her heart was finally healing.”
They split up a year ago and got a divorce in July just gone but “Although they’ve broken up, Katy knows how important this milestone is for Russell.
Cowell’s Christmas
It seems like Simon Cowell will be spending Christmas with a new member of his family as he has confirmed rumours that him and actress Carmen Electra are dating!
Rumours started after Carmen become a judge on Britain’s Got Talent but back in November she denied them and said they were just friends.
However this week Simon has made it very clear they are more than friends, but not as far as in a relationship as he has said “She’s not my girlfriend. We’re people who date.”
Five Gold Rings…or Just One
Love seems to be blossoming recently, as Tre Holloway announced he wanted to propose to girlfriend and singer Cheryl Cole on Christmas day. However Cheryl’s mum stopped this event from happening as she said it was too soon after the end of Cheryl and Ashley Cole’s relationship. When Tre asked Joan for Cheryl’s hand in marriage a source said that she didn’t give her blessing because “She’s warming to Tre but there’s no way she’s going to let another man take Cheryl down the aisle so quickly. Tre’s got his work cut out if he thinks he can get around Joan so soon.”
“Tre, like scores of men, wants to marry Cheryl. But there is a lot of work to do to convince Joan he’s not in this for money or fame.
Christmas Charts
It was said at the beginning of this week that X-Factor Winner James Arthur could claim the Christmas No.1 spot with his single ‘Impossible’ as it soared straight to the top of the official singles chart it on Sunday (16th December) after selling 490,000 copies and becoming the fastest-selling tune of the year.He is up against ‘He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother’ by The Justice Collective, which has been released to raise money for the families affected by the Hillsborough disaster.
Official Charts Company’s managing director Martin Talbot explained: “While James Arthur has an early lead over The Justice Collective after just two days of sales, it is exceptionally tight – especially with Christmas gift purchases likely to impact on both releases as the week progresses.”
He added: “It looks like being an extremely exciting race for this year’s Official Christmas number one.”
And it has been as yesterday it was announced The Justice Collective have taken over the top spot currently 23,000 copies ahead of James.
Martin explained “they have opened up their lead in just two days – it could easily be closed over the next two days.”
He added: “The Justice Collective are favourites right now – but their lead is not unbridgeable by any means. With two days of sales left to be counted, it is all to play for.”
The final chart placings for the Christmas number one 2012 will be announced on tomorrow, Sunday (December 23).
