With problems on the M25 it took two and a half hours to get to the studio tonight! And it was raining!! It was great to be joined in the studio by Neil Taggart, Head Teacher of Ingatestone & Fryerning C. of E. Aided Junior School. Neil was very enlightening about the school and the kind of activities that take place to help with the children’s learning. He told us about the role of the School Council and also some of the trips undertaken by the children. We had an e-mail agreeing with him that the school dinners are really good! He chose a track by Bob Marley from the first album he ever bought and one by The The from University days. Neil also told us about his time at other schools, working selling advertising for the BBC before training for teaching and playing hockey for Brentwood, which is clearly fun but dangerous! He also talked about his family. Requests tonight were for a Motown track from Susan and Ian, Paul Simon for Rene and The Everly Brothers for Michael.

Music tonight included tracks from Adel, The Verve, Soweto String Quartet, Carol Emerald, Manfred Man amongst other. Join me next week when I am joined by Angela Kenny who will be talking about Operation Christmas Child and how you can be involved.
