He told us about his journey towards this exciting point in his life, from being a student at the University of Essex, through a church placement for a year in Newport South Wales, through the discernment process and now to Oxford. He certainly made a very positive impression with those in the chatroom and everyone who e-mailed in, including for the first time people in Wales. I think he has his own fan club!
Requests tonight were for Suzanne Vega, Fairport Convention, The Beatles, Abba, Queen and Paul Simon. We also heard from Ramsey Lewis, Kenny G, Lady Antebellum, Adele, The Beach Boys, The Bangles, Bananarama, Carrs and other Friday night favourites. Our unusual stories tonight included the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge using lego to repair a mummy, over-weight elephants in Indian Temples being put on diets, a vase used as a door stop for generations sold for $1.8 million and about a car park in Leeds where the owners put jokes on the wall, run competitions and give sweets to everyone who parks there.
I will not be with you next week. Join me on Friday 5th of October when I will be joined by Mary Hill from Frontline Partnership. Why not leave a request below?
