Late Night Extra 31st of August 2012

I was joined tonight by Richard Davies. He has been working as a volunteer at the Olympics and now at the Para-Olympics. He was wearing a magenta top emblazoned with an Olympics logo which was much admired by everyone in the chat room. He talked about how he came to volunteer and the experiences that has had in the role, directing people and chatting with them. He also talked about how positive the atmosphere has been when he has been traveling to and from the station where he has been based. Richard noted how he has not just had a great time but that the events have raised the spirits of everyone in the country. We agreed that we hoped this would continue.

Music tonight included tracks from Franz Ferdinand, Adele, Kate Bush, Billy J. Kramer & the Dakotas, Beatles, Harry Chapin, Alison Krauss, Rick Braun, Prefab Sprout, Simon and Garfunkel, Bryds and many others. Join me next week when my studio guest will be Rt. Revd. John Wraw, Bishop of Bradwell.
