Hypnotherapy with Ches Moulton, The Essex Wildlife Trust and Gluten-free Eating

Monday 2nd – Tuesday 3rd January

Welcome to 2012. I am very excited about the future for us here at Phoenix and with more opportunities to reach out to the local community and meet new people. I am also looking forward to the prospect of having some of my guests from 2011 join me in the studio at points during 2012 to bring you more thoughtful conversations and news. On Monday and Tuesday I covered local news stories and local events.

Wednesday 4th

Ches Moulton DHP C.Ht joined me in the study to speak on the subject of hypnotherapy. So what is it? Hypnosis is often described as a trance-like state and it is a completely natural state of mind that we all experience on a daily basis. Have you ever driven a stretch of road and then on arriving at your destination thought, ‘I can’t remember driving along that piece of road.’ Or have you been reading a book and answered a friends question whilst absorbed by what your reading, and then accusing your friend of ‘making up’ something you said? You were experiencing a state of trance. Notice that when you were experiencing these trance-like states, you were completely in control, and not able to be convinced of something that you didn’t believe. Hypnotherapy is a medically approved from of therapy and some people have been helped by hypnotherapy, where every other type of therapy or effort to change their life has failed. A therapist’s objective (when using the means of Hypnosis), is to assist the client to relax their body and calm their mind so that the subconscious part of the mind can be accessed in order to bring about the change the client wants to make in their current life. In the discussion below Ches superbly explains this further and answers my questions:
