AN EARLY FESTIVE PACKED LUNCH

As an early treat for Christmas, I was joined by local singer KAREN LEE BURNETTE. Indeed I was doubly fortunate as Karen’s mother JAN BURNETTE who made recordings and did a fair amount of TV work back in the ’60’s.

Karen has just released her first album “WITH ALL MY HEART”. This album features no less than 20 songs from which we picked a couple of tracks – FROM THIS MOMENT and BRING HIM HOME. Right now you can obtain a copy of this album free of charge by going to Karen’s website – www.karenleeburnette.com. You will merely be asked to pay the cost of postage, a mere £4.50. You can’t get a better deal than that for an album which has already received much critical acclaim from the world of show business, including many other artists. By the way Karen would love to hear from you and hear any comments you care to make. Karen can be contacted via her mother at jan@janburnette.com. Please note the spelling of BURNETTE!

You can listen again to my talk with Karen here: – [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Karen-Lee-Burnette-interview.mp3|titles=Karen Lee Burnette interview]

Later in the proceedings Frances Clamp provided the historical low down on Brentwood’s HOLLY TREES PRIMARY SCHOOL which was once known as JUNCTION SCHOOL. You can listen to my chat with Frances here:

Of course all this was served up with a whole heap of those familiar Christmas songs plus a clutch of the latest sounds around mixed in with a sprinklingof great oldies from the recent past.

Well that’s all from me for another week. Hope to see you next week for the Christmas Eve show with heaps of Christmas favourites and Frances Clamp talking about Umble Pie. Dion’t know what that is? Well tune in next week and all will be revealed.

All the best,

Scott
