PACKED LUNCH – 22nd October 2011

For this my third show, I was privileged to be joined by local singer/songwriter, Chris Hobart. Apart from being lead singer in his own local cover band, 22nd Centur, Chris also performs solo and is currently working on a new mini album, but what makes Chris really stand apart from the crowd is that he has also set up, what he calls, “open mic nights” aimed at getting budding musicians a means of showcasing themselves and meet other musicians in a friendly, no pressure environment. So if you feel like taking that first step in the music world, why not join Chris every Monday evening at THE HAVERING WELL on RUSH GREEN ROAD. The time to be there is between 8 and 11pm every Monday from  the 24th October.

Later in the show we enjoyed a repeat of Tuesday’s BRENTWOOD & BILLERICAY BYGONES feature with local author and historian, FRANCES CLAMP. This week Frances was regaling us with tales of the CHEQUERS INN in Billericay. Next week Frances will be discussing one of the only surviving Medieval buildings in Brentwood at 63-65 High Street.
