ESSEX Spartans American football team continued their unbeaten start to the season with a dominant performance to sweep aside Milton Keynes Pathfinders 35-6.  The Pathfinders came into the match topping the division, but were no match for the Billericay-based Spartans, who were facing the Pathfinders for the first time in their history.

WEST END
West End box office returns were down 6% in the first quarter of this year, according to figures released by the Society of London Theatre.

Performances from new shows including Shrek the Musical, Betty Blue Eyes and The Wizard of Oz will be showcased, also  Billy Elliot – the Musical, Wicked and Jersey Boys performers will be appearing. West End Live is taking place in Trafalgar Square for the first time on June 18 and 19.  Around 500,000 visitors are expected to attend the event. Entry is free of charge.

BROADWAY
A triple-bill of one-act comedies by the all-star team of Woody Allen, Ethan Coen and Elaine May is headed for Broadway. Collectively titled Relatively Speaking, the plays will begin previews on an unspecified date in September and open in October at a theater to be announced, directed by John Turturro. No casting or creative team members have been announced.

On May 15, Daniel Radcliffe was named Favorite Actor in a Musical (How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying) and Favorite Onstage Pair (with John Larroquette) at the gala Audience Choice Awards

No casting or creative team members have been announced.
