Today, Saturday 16 April, The Rt. Hon. Harriet Harman QC MP visited Brentwood to join Labour Councillor Mike Le-Surf out and about on the High Street to hear concerns from residents ahead of the forthcoming local elections on 5th May.
Following a brief walk from the High Street through Crown Street, Ms Harman spoke to Phoenix FM at our studios in the Baytree Centre.
Ed Wellman welcomed Harriet Harman, who is MP for Camberwell and Peckham, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Shadow Secretary of State for International Development and Shadow Deputy Prime Minister, to Phoenix FM, and began by asking why she had chosen to visit Brentwood today. Other subjects addressed in the interview include the core message right now from the Labour Party, the result of the 2010 General Election and views of Brentwood people regarding local and national issues. We also spoke about comments reported in the media today by Ed Milliband and Nick Clegg, who, too are both out on the campaign trail in the North of England.
