Drive – Mike Nolan from The Original Bucks Fizz

Another exciting programme tonight with one of Bucks Fizz’s founding members having a good ole’ chinwag with me on the dog and bone tonight. 30 years on from their victory at the Eurovision Song Contest with Making Your Mind Up, I asked for his thoughts on the competition over the years and how he thought our hopefuls Blue would fare on May 14th in Dusseldorf.

We reminisced over the years since then, his decision to part from the band in 1996, how he felt when they reformed in 2004, the opportunities featuring on Living TV’s Pop Goes The Band presented in 2008, and plans for a new album later this year.

Their anniversary tour brings them to the Broadway Theatre in Barking on Friday 29th April. Details can be found at www.thebroadwaybarking.com or call the box office on 020 85075607. [audio:https://www.phoenixfm.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Mike-Nolan-Interview.mp3|titles=Mike Nolan – Interview]
