Fundraiser 3rd April

I am organising another Fundraiser for Phoenix 98FM, local bands/artists with a few of our own Phoenix FM talent thrown in (not literally). On the line up this time we have Big Dogg (Headline), The Tibetan Tea Company (Daniel Bridge), Georgia Strand, Charley Bird, Lizzie B, Emma Sweeny/Roz Ure and myself. Last Fundraiser in January went brilliantly and was a great night of local talent. Tickets are available from Brentwood Theatre 01277 200 305 or from Phoenix FM direct. Find out more on the home page of Phoenix.

George Adey (Phoenix FM’S oldest presenter, slightly older than myself) popped in for a chat. George appears every other Friday with Georges World and we talk about anything and everything. He has his fans. George came in to say hi to everyone after his 93rd Birthday last Monday. George had said to me a while ago if he was 20 years younger we could have made a go of it, I said George that would make you 73! I think he was joking but an offer is an offer, let me get my wedding dress ready, oh hold on I am already wearing it.

I must learn to read out the weather. I tend to say “look out of the window” or “its a day for a hat and maybe a cardie”. I feel that gives the listener a better idea of how the weather is going to be. 🙂 My News reading skills are improving

Peace and love
