Chilly in the City tonight…

Hello guys,

What a chilly Saturday, non the less we had a warm selection of music as always. I had an exclusive version of ‘Is Love’ by the White Lies, remixed by Stereolabs. Also in the first time play stakes, we played a new track by a new band, ‘Low Tide Theory’.
Twofers this morning featured 2 TRACKS from Essex synth king Vince Clarkes’ ERASURE.

I raved about the KING’S SPEECH again, as I got to see it a second time, and this time I took my Mother to see it for her birthday. Naturally she enjoyed it and it brought back memories of the time, which I’d say is a great sign of the films accuracy as well as the fine story and performances.

Live stand up comedy pick choices from me this weekend,…….
Jerry Sadowitz, at the Leicester Square Theatre.
27th ‘ 29th January 2011.
Jerry Sadowitz is the brilliantly foul-mouthed comic whose act would even make Denis Leary blush. And he doesn’t get anywhere near enough credit for his top-notch magic either ‘ he’s like a Satan-ised version of Paul Daniels, with jokes.

Comedy night, with Arthur Smith.
30th January 2011.
The Lyric’s Sunday Night Comedy slot returns with a side-splitting mix of famous names and upcoming stars, all introduced by Richard Herring. ‘ Lyric Hammersmith.

Paul Merton and Josie Lawrence, at the Comedy Store.
30th January 2011.
TV’s Paul Merton will be joining Josie Lawrence at the Comedy Store Players for a night of comedy improvisation. Other comedians on the bill include Neil Mullarkey, Lee Simpson, Steve Edis and Dave johns.

Live music wise…’ḊMon 24 Jan Funeral Party – at Bush Hall, Shepard Bush.
Funeral Party have played numerous shows and maintain a large fanbase in the East L.A. area.
Tue 25 Jan The Wombats – @ Hard Rock Cafe. Popular three-piece indie band from Liverpool.
Wed 26 Jan Noah and The Whale – @ Bush Hall, Shepard Bush.
Introspective London based four-piece with a repertoire of dark and emotional folk songs.
