Interview with The Hot Puppies

Supporting the Grates at the Metro Club we managed to find current BOA favourites, The Hot Puppies from Aberystwyth.

The band have been together for about 6 years but have only just released their debut album, Under The Crooked Moon. Often compared to Pulp and other high flyers from the Britpop era, a lot of people are tipping great things for this band as well. With songs like Terry and The Girl Who Was Too Beautiful, it’s not difficult to see why.

The band talked to us about life on the road, the joys of cut price wine and theremins. All stuff we can relate to, except life on the road – we don’t see much of that locked in our little studio 23 hours a day.

You can visit the band’s Myspace here: www.myspace.com/thehotpuppies. The official site can be found here: www.thehotpuppies.com.
