Soul Inspired 6th December: How old is Thriller again?I had a bit of a shock last Saturday 1st December (apart from being on the main stage with Darren Bull for the Christmas lighting up extravaganza in Brentwood High Rd. that day in front of thousands of people!) when I read that Michael Jackson's album Thriller was released 25 years ago on that very day! Where were you on December 1st 1982? Were you even born I wonder? I remember seeing it on the shelves on the day it was released, getting it as a Christmas present a few weeks later & thinking it was superb, especially Billie Jean which I thought immediately was a stonewall furture single release. Well the rest as they say is music history so I thought as part of my occasional featured album series I'd play a few tracks from Thriller, it'd be rude not to really. If you need to know any trivia on it then look no further than here. Anyway, I also thought as it was the first show in December to play some tracks from the classic Motown Christmas album & will play a few other soul yuletide tracks between now & the day itself because I'm soppy like that.
