Soul Inspired show playlist 25th October 2007

Hello again my soul boys & girls! I hope your well & enjoyed the shows?

I thought this week I'll start an occasional feature, the 'Double Play' where I showcase a soul great with a quick biopic & play two of their finest or more eclectic & little known offerings. The opening 'Double Play' for Soul Inspired was Mr Johnny Bristol. Most casual music followers know the 1974 classic 'Hang On In There Baby' but how many knew about his other tracks on offer that year or in the seventies or even, his work writing, arranging & producing for other artists, especially in the sixties? That's where Uncle Bish stepped in to do Mr Bristol proud! The knowledgable amongst you knew all that stuff already though didn't you? Ha ha.

The Love God Lounge featured a mix of classic & futuristic arrangements with OC Smith's 'Together' & Roger's 'I Wanna Be Your Man'. Both are stone cold 'slow jams' though (oooh get me getting down with the kidz!) which I'm sure got you in the mood.

Ahem!
