Ollie opened the show and introduced Peri who gave us local, national and international news.
Next up Ollie gave us the lowdown on the new Land Rover Discovery 3.
This was followed by Rhys's usless facta and a brainteaser, see below for his Wacky Wadio Of Weird.
Tom C, the Movie Master, reviewed The Dark Is Rising which was recently released at the cinema and Spiderman 3 which is out on DVD.
George gave us a run down on all the clubs that are available at the Brentwood Centre.
Finally Tom I and Josh did the sports round-up both local and national.
Wacky Wadio Of Weird
- Months that begin with a Sunday will always have a Friday the 13th.
- Mosquitoes prefer biting children to adults and blondes to brunettes.
- Kissing under the mistletoe is a peculiarly British Tradition. A girl is not supposed to refuse anyone a kiss beneath a sprig of mistletoe even if it's someone really grim. Any boy who receives a kiss must pick a berry from the branch and when all the berries have gone no more snogging is allowed.
- People didn't always say hello when they answered the phone. When the first regular phone service was established in 1878 people said ahoy-hoy.
- In ancient folklore it was said that however hard they might try witches can't say the Lord's Prayer.
- The pin that holds a hinge together is called a pintle.
- Duke is the highest rank you can be without being a king or a prince.
- Lettuce is a member of the sunflower family.
- Spooky, a Blue Russian cat, and George, a Boston Terrier, were the first animals in America to be fitted with prescription contact lenses.
