This week's featured year was 1993, and we included some great tracks from Blur, Kate Bush, Eat and a real forgotten gem from West Country funked-up shoegazers Bang Bang Machine. I remember them performing this song live on Channel 4's The Word one Friday night, with lead singer Elizabeth Freeth performing the vocals wearing an elaborate wedding dress - and yes, if you wear one of those outside a church, you are nuts, and did that add to the effect of the song on my brain's drunken haze!

Currently in the "songs I am loving" category are tracks from new album releases from Eliza, Radiohead as well as new singles from the Kate Bush-esque Polly Scattergood and Brighton carnival weirdos 12 Stone Toddler.
