We’ve a very special guest on this Sunday’s breakfast show (28th Oct).
Megan Blunt is a remarkable young lady from Billericay - you may have seen her on the Pride of Britain Awards collecting the Child of Courage honour from J K Rowling no less.
Megan’s fifteen, and wanted to use her experience of fighting off cancer at the age of twelve to help others - so she's written a book, Chemotherapy, Cakes and Cancer, to help children in the same situation to understand what is happening to them.
Megan joins me live in the Phoenix FM studio to talk about her cancer, her book and how she was chosen to meet the generally publicity shy Harry Potter author.
That’s on Sunday's breakfast show, 7-10am (Megan’s in at 9).
You can download Megan's book from www.clicsargent.org.uk - she's written it as an A-Z explaining the medical terminology in simple English. Everyone should read it.
And don't forget, we're also looking for youngsters in the Billericay and Brentwood areas who can play current songs, such as Lily Allen's Alfie or Take That's Shine on their recorder, xylophone or ukulele (unlpugged instruments only).
If you would like to take part in our musical challenge, please email ian@phoenixfm.com saying what instrument and tune you can play. And please remember to get your parents permission first. We'll be inviting some of you into the studio to play live on air.
So please join me on Sunday, 7-10am, online and on locally on 98FM - and by all means invite your friends….(I’ve invited mine!).
