CAN YOU PLAY AMY WINEHOUSE ON YOUR RECORDER?

Here's a chance to get tuneful and get yourself on the radio at the same time....
The ukulele, the mini-guitar made famous by George Formby, is back in fashion, as primary schools look for a change to the drone of the humble recorder. Apparently schools are buying them by the bucketload - one smart ten year old claims he can play songs by the White Stripes on his!
So, here’s the challenge. We want to discover what instruments - and in particular, what up to date songs - young people in the Brentwood and Billericay areas can play.
AND we'll be inviting the best into the studio to play their song LIVE on Phoenix 98FM.
It must be an instrument you can blow or pluck, so that could include recorders, ukuleles, cornets, a xylophone or even bagpipes (instruments that need plugging into the electrics are not allowed).

If you would like to take part in our musical challenge, please email
ian@phoenixfm.com, telling me what instrument and tune you can play. Please remember your parents will have to give permission.
And don't forget to listen in, Sunday mornings from 7-10am.
