So there we are! This weeks playlist! Perhaps the greatest playlist i have played so far on my show, ay?

Something i was to do last week but forgot to do (silly me!) was to add various pictures and trivia from 1980s culture i.e. TV, Film, Fashion, Music, Toys,Trends, etc that we as a 1980s world loved and thought would never die out.......mmmm yes.

Ah yes Eastenders, BBC's soap rival to ITV's Coronation Street. It began in 1985, and is still continuing to entertain viewers today, 22 years on!

This is perhaps its most memorable characters, Den & Angie Watts played by Leslie Grantham & Anita Dobson and one of its most memorable scenes, showed over the years in various clip shows! (So even if you was not alive when this episode orignally broadcasted in 1986, you feel that you have actually seen this episode! Ho ho!) Den serves Angie with divorce papers, in this famous christmas special, after she has lied to him about only have 6 months to live (He found out by overhearing her chatting to a barman whilst on holiday!Woops) and says the imortal words in the episodes cliff hanger, ''Happy Xmas Ang,'' cue famous drum beat, ''duh duh dud...'' you get the picture!

Not a bad episode considering 30.1 million of us watched this whilst choking in disbelief on our After Eight mints!

Rubik's Cube

Its of course the Rubiks Cube, first shown to the world in 1980! Invented in Hungry (not a surprise really!) you had to be a genius to get all the colours together!

Or there was always another easy option......peeling the stickers off one by one and putting all the same colours together! Or screwdriving the cube apart and clipping all the same colours back together!

The Rubik Cube still sells over a million sales today, since its really over 25 years ago!

Looking at these pictures gives me the shakes...........But yes indeed, people really had hair like this! And still do!

Namely the mullet, the traditional haircut was normally short and spiky on the top, and long down the back and sides. Sometimes, the mullet would be topped off with gallons upon gallons of hairspray, to make the hair almost bouncy and fluffy! An good a example of this is Welsh pop-singer Bonnie Tylers hair.....

Thankfully, we hope the mullet will never come back into fashion again ! But like i said earlier on, i have seen mamy a person have a mullet, so you never know.......

He had hungry eyes, she was like the wind, you just hear the phrase, ''No one puts baby in the corner'' and even if you have never seen the film in your life, you know what people are talking about!

Dirty Dancing, first shown in 1987 at the cinema, and starring Patrick Swayze & Jennifer Grey (whatever happended to her?) wowed audiences with its energetic dancing and breath taking soundtrack!

The titled soundtrack I've Had the time of my life sang by Billy Meadley & Jennifer Warnes won the 1988 Oscar Award for Best Soundtrack and the film inspired the recently West End Show in London. (I show i may be seeing for my birthday!Woo hoo!)

The music world in 1982 got a bit of a shock when they saw this face on Top Of The Pops first the time! ''Is it a boy, is it a girl? They have manly features but they sound so much like a girl when they sing!?''

Boy George of course from Culture Club, released their first hit Do You Really Want To Hurt Me which reached no. 1! Finally it was revealed he was a bloke! (Pretty obvious really in my opinion! We were all abit stupid in 1982 weren't we, if we could tell the differance between a boy or a girl!)

Culture Club would go onto have successful career in the 1980s, and Boy George also had a successful solo career, with a number one with Everything I Own in 1987, a cover of Rock Band Breads 1972 hit!

Perhaps the coolest time traveling movie ever, Micheal J. Fox starred in this 1985 classic! Marty Mcfly played by Fox,  goes back in time to the year 1955, when his parents first met, by using Professer Doc Browns, played by Christopher Lloyd time machine aka an old DeLorean.  By mistake, Mcfly prevents his parents meeting, putting his own existence at stake.

A box office hit, with an amazing title theme namely Huey Lewis & the News The Power Of Love, this was the first in a trilogy of films, Back to Future II (1989) and Back To The Future III (1990).

Trivia galore there! More next week!
