The launch of BASLE

Paul Golder and Steve Mead from Phoenix FM attended the launch of BASLE - the Brentwood Association of Safer Licenced Establishments - at the Sugar Hut Village on 18 September.

Paul spoke to BASLE's Chairman, Simon Cleary, about the ideas behind forming the group, the aims of making Brentwood a safer place for everyone to enjoy, and how the scheme will work in practice.

The organisation - whose motto is "Making Brentwood Safer Together" - currently has 20 organisations signed up and is hoping to get all local licencees involved.

For more information on how to join, call Simon on 01277 200885, Jane Ponder (Secretary) on 01277 264575 or John Cousins (Essex Police) on 01279 621851.
