Xanthe Bearman & Steve Mead were invited to the launch of the new album by JOURNEY SOUTH. They were delighted to attend the event in London's West End to bring you news from the party.

Journey South - brothers Andy and Carl Pemberton have split from their contract with Simon Cowell’s label Sony BMG label after a disagreement over the release date of their new album.
The single and album will be released on ANCA Records LLP, a new label set up by Journey South through outside investors and the guys’ own money.”
The brothers are just back from Sweden having put the finishing touches to the album.
Xanthe spoke to Andy exclusively for Phoenix FM at the intimate launch party on the 11th September.

Xanthe asked Why Stockholm for the new album? Andy replied that they’d really bonded with some producers & musicians out there, and decided to record the album with the new team. He added that they are very proud of the album as they have written all of it themselves.
Andy also promised that he would love to pop into the Phoenix FM studio now they are back home promoting the album.
The guys played 6 songs from the new album with their band. There were heart felt rock/pop songs, and also some up-tempo guitar driven rock songs.
The new single titled “That’s Why I Love Home” is due out on 15th October (Carl’s birthday). It typifies what the guys love about the North-east and what it’s like to come home after being away
The album is out on 22nd October entitled 'Home'.
