SATURDAY PITSTOP WITH ALLEN FORD – 8.9.7

Billericay author and arts association member Elizabeth Lord joined the show to talk about her publishing success and Billericay artists’ output.

Elizabeth’s 20th book, titled A Secret Inheritance, will be out in November, published by Severn House.  It’s the tale of a nineteenth century French woman who amasses a multi-million franc fortune by deception.

A Secret Inheritance comes hard on the heels of book 19, To Cast a Stone, in May.  After moving to Billericay in 1968 and starting to write short stories, Elizabeth’s first novel came out 15 years ago.

In between writing, Elizabeth is a committee member of Billericay Arts Association.  The association occupies The Foild building on Laindon Road, Billericay, where it runs a varied arts, crafts and even languages curriculum.

Anyone interested in classes, or volunteering as one of the team keeping the building running, should contact Billericay Arts Association via its www.baathefold.org.uk website or by phoning 01277 659286.
