SATURDAY PITSTOP WITH ALLEN FORD – 25.8.7

Guests in both hours of today’s show, headlined by the Swan Paddock Residents’ Association.  The group leads views of residents most impacted by the planned William Hunter Way development, which would see a cinema, multi-storey car park and shops being built.

Jane Fleming-Wood (pictured second left), Philip Mynott (third left) and Jane Herbert (right) told listeners developer Halladale planned to show latest plans to the association on Thursday, August 30.

The meeting in The Swan pub, High Street, Brentwood, at 8pm is open to all.

Billericay councillor Trevor Stansfield also has Rotary Club and Billericay Twinning roles to his name.  ‘Mr Billericay’ dropped in on the Saturday Pitstop show to promote the Rotarians’ dragon boat race on September 2 on Hanningfield Reservoir.

Billericay Twinning Association looks after the town’s link with Fishers, in the US state of Indiana, and Chauvigny, France.  Essex basketball players have established connections with their counterparts in N America.  To find out more about how your sports club, school or business could also benefit from Billericay’s twins abroad, email Trevor at tremar@aol.com
