This week I had as my guest Stephen Rice a Fire Saftey Evangelist!   The Vicar in the Van is his nickname! Stephen is not a Vicar but is a Lat Evangelist in his local church.

His job we heard was to go around different churches in the Essex area to offer them and the parishioners fire saftey advice and demonstrations.

He is funded by the Church of England but works full time for Essex Fire and Rescue Service.

He brought along some stirring music that woke us all up! We had The Clash and "Complete Control" REM and "Whats the Frequency Kenneth" and a local band from Colchester Mahony and "Hole In My Life"

Gardening

This week we mentioned about a new craze in the US and the Far East. They are living mini plants in a case to hang on your key ring or mobile phone!

Work this Week.......

Keep cutting the grass. Lightly if it looks strssed! Rake the lawn to get out all the debris of dead grass, moss etc You can make this easy by hiring a mechanical scarifyer, but watch you do not set the blades to go too deep.

Cut  the dead flowers off Hostas to make them look tidy.
