This week I was joined in the studio by locals Honeymoon on Mars. The fabulous foursome formed a few years back and released their self-titled debut album last year. Having impressed at the recent Curveballs gig at Edge, the band’s eclectic sound will see them performing up and down the country in the next few months, and with their organ and double bass in tow, you’ll be guaranteed as memorable a performance as the one we had in the studio – click below to hear the results! Also joining me on the phone was Nick from Stealing Signs. From South Woodham Ferrers, the band formed a couple of years ago originally but have been going with their current line-up since January. The band’s distinctive indie sound has won them a local following and, as Nick explained to us, could be set to take them a lot further with their involvement in Band Republic, an interactive record label competition – find out more at www.bandrepublic.com.
