News for SUNDAY 17 June......
WEEKEND PHOENIX RISING
Sunday 17 June 2007, 7-10oam
FIRSTLY, thanks to everyone for being so knd and patient during my first show - the Phoenix staff have been brillaint - they sure know how to make the new boy feel at home!
And thanks also to my Saturday guests, the new Mayor of Brentwood, Councillor Frank Kenny, Caroline Horden from Holy Trees Primary School and Mark Dewell from the Epping-Ongar Railway Volunteer Society
On Sunday's show (17th), I'll be talking to the incredible man behind Brentwood's Hopefield Animal Sanctuary - Ernie Clark and his wife Pauline have saved the lives of many animals in the sanctuary's first twenty-five years.
And we'll meet Nigel James, chairman of the 1st Blackmore Scouts - who, with nine fellow adventurers, has just conquered the Three Peaks to raise money for local cancer charities and the scouting movement.
And, don't forget daddy! - I'll be reading your Fathers Day dedications between 8 and 9 (lines open at 7.30) - so text Phoenix (space ) and a special message for your dad to 83252, email radio@phoenixfm.com, or call the studio direct on 01277 849 931.
Finally, we'd like YOU to be involved with Phoenix Rising, so, if you're organising an event or know of something special locally that could do with a bit of a plug, please do let me know.
